The Honda NX650 Dominator, a touring enduro motorcycle, first appeared on the market in 1988 and was produced until 2000, although official sales continued until 2003. This model was primarily created for export, so it was rarely seen in Japan, with its main markets covering Europe, North America, and Oceania.

 

The heart of the motorcycle was a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 644 cc, developing between 44 and 46 horsepower and 56 Nm of torque. The engine demonstrated its peak performance in the 5000-6000 rpm range. Similar engines were used in the Honda FMX650, Honda XR650, Honda SLR650, and Honda FX650 Vigor models.

 

Key features of the Honda NX650 Dominator included a steel frame, disc brakes on both wheels, standard suspension in the form of a telescopic fork and a mono-shock absorber, a dry sump lubrication system (oil was stored in the frame), a five-speed gearbox, and a dry weight of 152 kg.

 

In the early 2000s, the model became unavailable from dealers and did not receive further development.
