In 1990, Suzuki introduced the DR 650 motorcycle, developed based on the DR600. The goal was to create a competitor to the popular Honda NX650 Dominator. The core element of the motorcycle was a simple air-oil cooled single-cylinder engine that produced 46 horsepower and 57 Nm of torque. The engine was equipped with four valves and a single overhead camshaft.
