The Suzuki GSF1250 Bandit motorcycle entered the market in 2007, replacing the Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit. The new model underwent significant technical updates.
The engine was modernized, receiving liquid cooling, an additional balance shaft, a fuel injection system, and its displacement increased from 1157 to 1255 cubic centimeters. Although the peak power remained the same at 100 hp, it was now achieved at lower RPMs, which improved low-end torque.
The braking system saw a return to 4-piston calipers, and versions with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) also became available.
The transmission was also improved: instead of the previous model's 5-speed gearbox, the GSF1250 Bandit was equipped with a modern 6-speed transmission.
The fuel tank capacity was slightly reduced from 20 to 19 liters.
