The classic road motorcycle, the Suzuki GSF 600 Bandit, first went on sale in 1995. A year later, a version with a front fairing was introduced, designated the Suzuki GSF600S Bandit. This model was primarily aimed at the European market, although the S-version was also exported to North America.
At the heart of the motorcycle was an in-line 4-cylinder, 599cc air-oil-cooled engine, producing up to 80 horsepower and up to 62 Nm of torque. The engine is characterized by high revs, with peak values in the 8500-9500 rpm range and a limit of 12000 rpm. This engine was borrowed from the Suzuki GSX600F Katana sport-tourer.
In 2000, the Suzuki Bandit underwent a significant restyling, affecting the appearance and technical characteristics: new carburetors, calipers, improved rear suspension settings, a more powerful generator, an enlarged fuel tank, and a new instrument panel appeared.
Production of this model was discontinued in 2004, giving way to an updated version – the Suzuki GSF650 Bandit.
