The Suzuki GSX 750 Inazuma, a classic motorcycle, debuted in 1998 and was produced until 2001 (officially until 2003). Aimed at the European market, it was a rarity in Japan, where the GSX 400 Inazuma version was offered.
The creation of the Inazuma 750 was motivated by Suzuki's desire to replace the GSF750 and compete with popular "classics" such as the Kawasaki Zephyr 750. The name "Inazuma" ("lightning") was not used universally; in Germany, for example, it was prohibited by trademark law. In Japan, demand was low, so the main sales came from
exports.
The GSX 750 Inazuma had a common platform with the GSX 1200 Inazuma and a refined air-oil-cooled engine from the late 80s - early 90s Suzuki GSX-R750. Engine modifications included the cylinder head (TSCC), crankshaft, and other components to increase torque at low and mid-range RPMs. The engine produced 86 hp and 66 Nm of torque, exceeding the performance of its competitors.
Features of the Suzuki GSX 750 Inazuma included a steel tubular frame, aluminum swingarm, 6-speed gearbox, classic suspension, disc brakes, 170 mm wide rear tire, 18-liter fuel tank, and a dry weight of 201 kg.
Production of the Suzuki GSX 750 Inazuma ended in 2001 (sales continued until 2003). The model was export-oriented and rarely seen in Japan. In Russia, this motorcycle is also a rarity due to its short production period."
