MO.VE Riga shop and bicycle workshop
MO.VE Riga is a motorcycle and bicycle shop and a bicycle workshop at Vagonu iela 21 in Riga. We opened the shop and the workshop in 2020.
We bring in motorcycles and bicycles from Germany and other European countries, service and restore bicycles, store vehicles between seasons in a separate guarded space, rent out a motorcycle trailer and take motorcycles on commission. You can buy a motorcycle or bicycle outright or on leasing, and trade in your own.
We keep no fixed opening hours: visits are by arrangement, so call or write to us. We speak Latvian, English and Russian. Contacts are at the bottom of the page.
History
It started in 1999, when my father gave me a vintage moped and I got attached to it. Over time that grew into tinkering with motorcycles, and with bicycles when the motorcycles were broken. It all happened in the dark basement of the nine-story building where we lived, and later in a garage.
In 2020 we opened the workshop and the shop. I had long been around machines and thought about having a workshop. The premises and the wish came together, and the workshop opened.
Goals
Our goals go beyond selling and repairing vehicles. We want to preserve the history of every item, inspire people to travel, develop a culture of getting around on two wheels and bring people together around it, keeping its spirit and character.
Match you with a vehicle for your rides
The shop is here so that you have the right vehicle for travel, city rides and trekking. The catalog lists motorcycles, bicycles and parts with photos, a description and a price, and each listing shows whether it is sold or reserved. If the model you want is not in stock, you can order a motorcycle from Germany or from American auctions: we search for it, inspect it on site and deliver it. An import costs €750 for motorcycles up to €10 000 and €850 above that, usually 14 days.
Make buying more accessible
You can get a motorcycle or bicycle on leasing through eLizings with no down payment and no collateral, for up to 96 months. You submit and sign the application remotely, including from abroad. You can trade in your own motorcycle or bicycle or count it as part payment, and put the difference on leasing. When you buy, free delivery in Riga and the region is possible, and we can deliver elsewhere in Europe too.
Give old bicycles a second life
We like restoring what has been forgotten. We take the bicycle apart, restore the original parts, track down missing ones, polish it and coat it with a special compound. The work is slow, but the bicycle keeps its character. If you like, we can customize it to your style.
Look after your vehicle between seasons
Bicycle servicing costs from €35 for an inspection to €160 for a full service, and from 1 October to 1 February workshop prices are 20% lower. Between seasons we store bicycles and motorcycles in a dry, guarded space: €5 a month for a bicycle, €20–25 a month for a motorcycle. To move a motorcycle you can rent a two-axle trailer: €20 for 3 hours, €25 for a day, €140 for a week. We added the rental because customers asked for it. All prices are on the prices page.

Individual projects, vehicles brought in to order, trade-ins with a surcharge, restoration and plenty of experience with vehicles. We take motorcycles on commission: the commission for a sale is €150.

How much does storage cost?
Storing a bicycle costs €5 a month, a motorcycle €20–25 a month. The minimum term is one month, and you can collect your vehicle earlier.
